Lead magnet ideas are something all businesses need if they’re going to build their own mailing list. But sometimes you just don’t know what ideas are good and which aren’t so great. I recently shared with you some ideas for lead magnets in this blog post. However, in today’s blog, I’m going to give you specific ideas for some of the most popular niches, along with some examples you can go and check out for inspiration.
Many of the clients I work with are based in these four key business niches – coaching or consulting, alternative therapies, Virtual Assistant, and Social Media Manager. So if you’re in one of those niches, you’re going to love today’s blog!
But don’t think I’ve neglected other niche areas – as I’m also going to share a handy tool you can use to generate your own lead magnet ideas too.
Suggested ideas for coaches and consultants
There’s no shortage of lead magnet ideas for coaches and consultants. Quizzes, in particular, are hot right now, as they’re great for engagement, and they’re a simple way to gamify your website a little. If you’d like to read more about quiz lead magnet, check out: Why having a quiz lead magnet is a good idea.
Meanwhile, here are 3 lead magnet ideas you can try out:
- Personality quiz
- Goals workbook
- Website checklist
A great example of a personality quiz is the Pricing Personality quiz over on the Business Growth By Numbers website ( I’d recommend signing up for this one yourself!). Whilst Gemma Went’s Daily Sales Checklist is a perfect example of a checklist lead magnet.
Alternative therapist lead magnet ideas
For the alternative therapist, there are lots of options, depending on your speciality. These audio or video-based lead magnets are often easy to create, especially if you focus on one key problem area, such as confidence, money blocks, or stress relief.
The most common lead magnet ideas for alternative therapists are:
- Hypnosis recording
- Guided meditation
- Scripts for tapping
Mindset coach Emma O’Brien offers a free hypnosis audio to help you believe in yourself, and it’s a great example of the power and simplicity of a great lead magnet. Meanwhile, if you’re wondering what makes for a good script lead magnet, check out Marie Houlden’s free EFT video series.
Lead magnet ideas for a Virtual Assistant or OBM
